ARCHEOLOGY MUSEUM
BRIEF INTODUCTION
The term archeology refers to the study of human society, primarily through the recovery and analysis of the material culture and environmental data that they have left behind, which includes artifacts, architecture and cultural landscapes.
A museum is an institution that houses and cares for a collection of artifacts and other objects of scientific, artistic, or historical importance and makes them available for public viewing through exhibits that may be permanent or temporary
An open-air museum is a distinct type of museum exhibiting its collections out-of-doors.
Living museums, also known as living farm museums and living history museums, are a special type of open-air museum where costumed interpreters portray period life in an earlier era. The interpreters act as if they are really living in a different time and place, such as the Colonial era, and perform everyday household tasks, crafts and businesses.
PROBLEM STATEMENT:
To reveal the hidden treasures at archeological sites of Pakistan and its goal is to demonstrate older lifestyles to modern audiences.
PROJECT BRIEF:
In my thesis project I aim to design an open air museum or living history museum. The basic reason for choosing this museum is that being a rich country in archeological sites, we are not utilizing or conserving the sites to public access. These sites are not only can act as tourism spot or a living lesson for people but also these hidden treasures of architecture can be open for all to learn.
The concept of open museum is common at Europe and yet not practiced in Pakistan so I would like to introduce it here.
The goal is to demonstrate older lifestyles to modern audiences.

Archeology Department of Pakistan
SITE SELECTION
As narrowing down the scope of my thesis as to many archeological sites with different cultures with my personal interest I have selected a site. The basic logic for choosing a site is not to change the environment of that culture but evolving it from its roots where it is originated.
The site I have chosen for this purpose is Harappa. Considering the richness of Indus civilization the site of Harappa is well suited for concept of open museum. Presently there is very small museum which is not completely covering the richness of culture and not depicting the life style of this civilization.
According to site the museum can be partially open and the rest of site can be maintained to publicveiw. I will be obliged to have this project so that I can use my full potentials for its redevelopment and demonstrating past even living today so people can visualize it as

THEME PARK
Introduction
Theme park the term is usually referred to as for amusement parks. But I would like to define the theme of theme park I have chosen for my thesis is power lust.
This theme park is basically depicting the row between authorities to grab power. The theme park will illustrate the post -independence political situation of Pakistan. Simply right from the beginning its urge to acquire political between dictatorship and democracy.
Still the democracy turns into tyranny and people remained deprived of their basic needs even. The park will also contain a museum documenting the political history of Pakistan.
PROJECT TITTLE:
Power Lust in Pakistan
SITE LOCATION :
Islamabad or Lahore
PROJECT BRIEF:
The park will contain monuments, depicting our current situation we are living in. There will be water pond that is visible from major monument but not easily accessible.
There will be a raised platform the entrance having two columns one an archway like along with sitting spaces to view the monument. One column depicting military and other democrats. The central monumental structure will be a tug of war between dictatorship and democracy while nation is tearing apart due to it. The concept behind sitting spaces is they are like dried fountains that cannot attain water from present source of water.
The major monument is like a brick wall a hug wall having a stepped path way leading to it that each step having sculptures of different age group striving in isolation to reach the front brick wall. The isolation of people depicts presence of no proper leadership that is why some people are disoriented and no results are achieved for success.
The brick wall having close and open doors and punctures the wall is broken from one end and few people are trying to rebuild it, the broken wall showing East Pakistan.
The rest of the wall also having form of incomplete wall and few bricks are vanished from wall as stolen by some one, it is showing that corruption, economy crisis, resources shortage and external forces has deteriorated the present Pakistan.
By the end the close doors having our hidden treasure that our visible form a long path way that is showing there is no shortcut to success.
There will be library, cafeteria also for enhancing the public interest.
