OPTION 1:
Development (conservation) of Rohtas fort as tourist spot
To develop rotas fort and its surrounding area as a tourist spot with full of facilities. As Rohtas fort is one of the World Heritage sites but there are no proper tourist facilities and information centre over there.
The idea is to conserve the Rohtas fort and develop its surrounding area ensuring best tourist facilities like
· sitting spaces ,
· museum for the understanding of whole history of Rohtas fort and its surrounding historical landmarks like Mangla dam , mangla fort , rani kot fort , and this area is near to salt ranges.
· Restaurants
· Sports facility to add to the entertainment of visitors
· Hotel or motel to provide a convenient even luxurious living for the tourist and all people who want to have a detailed research n visit based on days.
Now a brief on the history and architecture of Rohtas fort is being shared to give an idea about the impotance of this treasure we people have.
Rohtas Fort is an exceptional example of the Muslim military architecture of central and south Asia, blending architectural and artistic traditions from Turkey and the Indian subcontinent to create the model for Mughal architecture and its subsequent refinements and adaptations. The majestic fort, surpassing many other citadels in grandeur and massiveness, is the only example of architecture of the time of Sher Shah Suri. The monument represents a milestone in the history of fort architecture. Its commanding situation, with its awesomely huge walls and trap gates, makes it a unique part of the cultural heritage.
OPTION 2:
Development of surrounding area of River Ravi
(BEAUTIFICATION OF LAHORE CITY)
Providing an entertainment hub at the site of river Ravi which is yet totally ignored. The idea is to give life to that area and make the adjacent area of the river a worth seeing place for the people of Lahore and all over Pakistan
There is no any proper development of river banks anywhere in Pakistan although these sites are highly developed all over the world so I want to make a entertainment complex over there which will include
· Restaurants
· Sports facility to add to the entertainment of visitors
· Indoor and water sports
· Hotel or motel with beautiful views of river and its surrounding and the great walled city of Lahore.
· Open air sitting and deck sitting
· Boating facility
These all facilities will eventually enhance the value of this whole area and people will get experience of the beauty of water here in the heart of Pakistan which they can imagine to have at sea side only till now.
River Ravi is directly connected with this area so it can be accessed easily from areas of Lahore and its surrounding areas and rest of the road network will get modified if required.
OPTION 3:
Air force museum
To design a special museum for Pakistan air force this will ac accommodate exhibits in the commemoration of heroes of Pakistan air force and their great deeds.
This museum would not only preserve the history of PAF and will create harmony between PAF and general public. It will help to covey an inherit message that we can make and maintain our environment clean and green by collective efforts.
Pakistan has only one museum of this sort in Karachi so I want to make another museum of this sort so that air force lovers and all people of Lahore could be acknowledged their heroes and their role in safety and peace in Pakistan.
The museum will house
Ø Exhibition areas
Ø Library for research and information about the history and activities of PAF
Ø IMAX (cinema)
Ø Open air sitting areas
Ø Preliminary training centers for the lovers of air force
Ø Children Park for entertainment
The site of museum will be in Lahore at some land of PAF authority.
